I didn’t think much of avatars until I started reading the comments left by teachers on student blogs. All of a sudden, I got it. The kids and parents are  immediately able to identify your complements and helpful tips by spotting your avatar.  Even more, kids need avatars for security reasons and easy comment identification of other readers.

OK, so how does one first create, then add an easily identifiable avatar to their blog?  Here is Sue Water’s Edublogger post,  “Creating and Uploading Your Comment Avatar”.  In her post, Sue has links to multiple create-your-own-avatar sites.

Want your avatar to look like it was painted by Pablo Picasso?  Art lovers, let out your creative beast.  Sue includes the link to “Picassohead“.  Simply amazing!
