According to this morning’s Seattle Times, Olympia has joined 40 other states in the adoption of Common Core State Standards for English and math.  “The goal of doing so is to provide a consistent framework for preparing students for college and work, according to the state’s Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.”

So, if you were wondering what the Common Core State English and Math Standards look like, here they are:
