Goro Fujita

For educators of 21st Century learners, especially those learners who show interest in becoming animators or digital film makers, here is an exquisite example of student work. This is communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity at its finest!  College students created this skillfully animated 3-D film and well-written environmentally themed script at the Institute of Animation as a  “Diplomas” final project. “Descendants” has won 12 international awards.  Read  how these students, lead by supervising animator, Goro Fujita,  persevered for 3 years and developed incredible teamwork to  finish their 2008, 14 min. “short” in  The Making of Descendants.   Is there a 21st Century, educational moral here?

Enlarge this remarkable “short”, narrated by Whoopi Goldberg and Christy Scott Cashman,  to become completely lost in the story.
